Meet Your Trainer

A Q&A with your trainer Julie O’Melia

Q: What are your three most important things in life:

The most important things in my life are my family, friends, and my job. When I am not teaching yoga,

barre, or yoga sculpt, I work full-time as a social worker. My role as an LPY instructor keeps me strong

mentally and physically!

Q: Why did you decide to barre training?

I decided to pursue the barre teacher training after completing my RYT 200 and I now have 500 hours of registered yoga teacher training. Barre, especially at LPY, really compliments our yoga practice. I love

that I use the knowledge that I gained in each training in every class that I teach.

Q: How are you using your barre training knowledge?

I am using my barre training knowledge to better my yoga practice, and teach prospective instructors! My barre teacher training has provided me with so much knowledge and I am excited to share it with our community.

Q: What’s your favorite part of a barre class to teach?

Making the playlists! I put a lot of thought into them. I also love connecting with our students and learning more about them.

I loved this program & teach barre after work and even sometimes on my lunch break! I love being able to see how transformative barre can be and being able to share it with others. Thank you Linda for everything!
