Join our own Jen Geller, yoga teacher and physical therapist, as she shares her knowledge of functional anatomy and biomechanics as it applies to yoga. The goal of this workshop is to improve your knowledge of proper body mechanics and to help you practice yoga safely.
Jen is passionate about moving with stability and control to prevent injury. Jen also strongly believes that every body is unique, with different structure, ranges of motion, and history. She will shed light on how we, as practitioners of yoga, can safely and effectively customize our own yoga practice.
Jen will offer understandable information on the spine, shoulder, hip, wrist, and more. She will talk about and demonstrate common postures and transitions that we use during our vinyasa classes and how to perform them safely.
The first hour of the workshop will be the info session with emphasis on practical application. The second hour will be a 60 minute all-levels-flow focusing on alignment, proper body mechanics, and suggestions for your body.
Come learn with us so together we can continue practicing yoga for a lifetime.
