Welcoming Team MFS to Team LPY!
Thank you for joining us! Use this page and our website to get to know us a little more before your MFS private yoga class.
What To Expect In Our Online Yoga Classes
A vinyasa based class that has elements of flowing, breathing and functional movement. People find themselves drawn to the hard work, emphasis on breathing and steady pace to help focus their mind. Vinyasa style leaves room for creativity for the teacher so no two classes will be exactly alike but all classes will be safe for the body and rooted in movements that make you feel strong, stable and successful.
No Props necessary! If you have a yoga mat it is helpful & blocks can be substituted with a couple books but you will be fine without them.
Meet Jillian
Your Yoga Instructor & Co-Owner at LPY
I like classes that feel creative and challenging and I love seeing students rise to the occasion! In my classes I typically find people who love to work hard, but also wish to find the balance between strength and surrender that we all crave. Your class will be accessible for anyone - from beginner to advanced so I hope to see you all there.
A little about me… I like a challenge and thrive in chaos. Both good attributes when you co-own a thriving small business and have four kids under 7! After more than 15 years of practicing and 7 years of teaching, yoga has taught me so much about how to keep my body and mind healthy and balanced through this wonderful journey called life and it’s a real gift to be able to share this with others. As an E-RYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher) I have over 700 hours of formal Yoga Alliance approved training. I help train others to become teachers in both our 200 hour and 300 hour certification programs at LPY. I specialize in working with and teaching yogis about hypermobility and joint instability and how we can use yoga to stabilize and build strength.
In a previous life, I started another small business, was part of an operational training program at General Mills and graduated with my masters from the MALS graduate program at Dartmouth College.
Meet Lorraine
Co-Owner & Teacher Manager at LPY
Lorraine Shedoudi has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and through practice found her passion to teach. Practicing and teaching inspires Lorraine and connects her daily to her true purpose. Lorraine was born and raised in Northern California and has always been fascinated by the mind body connection. She earned her undergraduate degrees in Anthropology and Psychology at University of California, Berkeley. While at Berkeley, Lorraine took her ?rst yoga class and was captivated by the practice. After years of playing competitive sports, yoga brought her a new way to understand physical movement, wellness and compassion. Lorraine continued her studies and followed her passion of connecting the mind and the body by earning her Master's Degree at Boston College in Counseling Psychology.
While working as a substance abuse counselor in Boston, Lorraine brought mindfulness and meditation to patients struggling with addiction. The more stressful work became the more Lorraine used yoga to keep herself grounded. The yoga community brought a sense of connection to her daily life and she studied to become a yoga teacher. Lorraine is a natural student with a true passion for yoga. She has tirelessly taken workshops and trainings. Lorraine is working on her Reiki mastership under the direction of Pat Iyer. She has tremendous and daily gratitude for her husband, her son, her whole family, as well as her students and her friends. They are her greatest teachers; they inspire her and remind her to fully live in the moment.
Lorraine strives to bring yoga off the mat and into daily life by reminding students they are infinitely strong and can face life with balance and grace. She is also continually learning that each breath is a call to be present and content.
