Yoga: Strong and Functional

Are you interested in learning about the method behind a mindful and functional yoga practice? It is exciting to look at how to move from a place of strength, function and alignment, and it is from here that the mobility in our yoga practice can truly evolve.

Joanne and Megan will begin this workshop with a quick presentation on main ideas and principles of the Balanced Athlete, ending with a practice that incorporates and integrates functional movement with yoga. The hope is that the practice will leave you feeling stronger, more solid and stable in your hand-to-core and foot-to-core connections.

This workshop will provide the platform for how to begin to incorporate mindful movement based on individual bodies and patterns of movement. We will leave you with a lot to experience and insight to take with you that is applicable to your life. This workshop will be fun, smart, playful and set to music.
